Friday Field Trip – LASSEN VNP!
Enjoy the beauty of our national park in all it's glory, by bike!

​Friday – May 3rd
8:00 am – depart Chico (organize ride share in thread) 
9:20 am – Highlands Ranch Resort, meet/organize
9:40 am – bikes roll

36 mi, 3600' climbing, climb at your own pace, regroups.
Route: HRR, Mill Creek, Mineral, Hwy 36 to 89, into LVNP as far as we can ride (estimated snow removal to the S turns below Diamond Peak), touch the snow and return to Hwy 36 to HRR.

Restrooms at HRR, Morgan Summit, Kohm Yah-May-nee Visitor Center. Water at Kohm Yah-May-nee Vistore Center.
(park road is closed to vehicles, but open to bicyclists and pedestrians – snow removal equipment is operational between M-Thursday – this is the perfect time to get a sneak peak at the snow levels at the lower elevations of the park)

​Bring: sunscreen, layers, rear light, snacks, water and camera/phone. Estimated ride time: 4 hours.
