North Valley Ride Club
After a quick warm-up on Hwy 36, ride the park Car FREE from the South Visitor Center to the top, and return to Highlands for lunch, a snack or a must deserved beverage. This LVNP event happens just once a year before the park opens to through traffic, so now is the time to experience the park with 15 foot snowbanks, clear views, crisp mountain air and NO traffic. You might even forget about the effort of climbing, at this elevation!
Climb at your own pace, regroups at Morgan Summit, the Visitor Center (restrooms, coffee, water) and at the Summit Parking Lot. If you want to do more, great... Summit Lake is a great turnaround spot as is Manzanita Lake (restrooms, water). As always, be self-sufficient and prepared for mechanicals – NO sag is provided. Bring lots of water, fuel and money. Helmets are required and bikes in good working order, with adequate tires and flat-fixing supplies. Route Info: 34 miles, 3900' climbing, 3.5-4 hrs https://ridewithgps.com/routes/27533752 EAT: Before we head home, let's gather for our celebratory ride feast at Highlands Ranch Resort.
