This is Mark's 2nd ride in his series of epic climbing rides... if you like to climb, listen up!
Saturday, June 30
Dobbins to Alleghany, and back.
62 miles, 7675' climbing... a no-nonsense ride, out-n-back, good pavement, little traffic, scenic views and healthy climbing.
If this ride interests you, kindly email Mark to be included in the details of carpooling, meet times, start location and ride suggestions / specifics.
(Death Riders... this is a good one for you!)
Again, much like the Bucks Lake ride, this is an epic ride in a remote area. Be prepared.
ACTION REQUIRED if you want to do this ride... RSVP Mark by Wednesday, June 27.

A casual ride on a lazy, Saturday morning... ahhhh.
Meet at 8:15am for quick gathering before heading out at 8:30am, riding your own pace around Lake Almanor – clockwise. We'll regroup at top the first climb (mi 4) for a photo and continue to the south tip of the lake (mi 16), for the last regroup before jumping onto hwy 89 and a detour through Prattville and Almanor. And back to Chester for a burger. A general pace of 17-18mph will exist among most, but ride your ride. Bring a friend and introduce the beautiful lake by view of the bike.
Be self-sufficient and prepared for mechanicals – NO sag is provided (if you have a flat or an issue, we'll do our best to help, but we won't have a sag vehicle). Bring water, fuel and money. Helmets are required and bikes in good working order with adequate tires and flat-fixing supplies.
32 miles, 1080' climbing, 2.5 hrs
Once we return to Chester, we'll head over to the Burger Depot to celebrate another day on the bike with friends. Bring money!
Burger Depot, 336 Main Street, Chester
We're heading to the hills on Friday, so plan your escape now – get a pet sitter, clear a waiver with your significant other, lay the ground work for calling in sick – do what you need to do to ride Lassen this Friday!

And if you can't make the field trip, Pam P will be leading a ride from One Mile at 8:30am, to Centerville. You most likely will not have as much fun as the folks on the field trip.
