North Valley Ride Club
RIDE:
Escape the Chico Heat and join us for a low-key dirt road ride to the mysterious and mossy Phantom Falls (can you see the Phantom?) from DeSabla Reservoir. The route is mostly out-and-back, fairly shady with a scenic loop. Mostly very good quality dirt road, but Powellton can get dusty. Suitable for mountain bike or cross bike if you have good skills. Ideal ride for road bike riders who own a mountain bike! Regular re-groups. No one left behind. Bonus Option: at the end of the ride, we can add on a short trip down to Butte Creek for a swim and snack. Adds a few miles and some climbing. Be self-sufficient and prepared as there are no services on the route! Bring water, food and basic tools. Helmets are required and bikes in good working order with adequate tires and flat-fixing supplies. Route Info: 21.5 miles, 2100 ft climbing https://ridewithgps.com/routes/12114778 Estimated ride time is 3 hours, back to cars around 1pm (or 2pm with swimming hole option) EAT: Tacos afterward in Paradise! Meeho's? Powered by NVRC
